FWIW, my cases each hold two rifles, but they also have two padded pistol pockets, along with some other interior pockets for holding targets, etc. the exterior pockets are great: the two end pockets each hold 4 PMags nicely and the center pocket is great for holding other ammo or range gear.

I have a pretty neato range bag that will not hold rifles, but holds a butt ton of all your other necessities. Manufacturer is GPS.
