You commute ?

Forest fire 3 miles west of my observatory. The winds are blowing from the east, and therefore blowing it right up the mountain. It has been burning since 2pm and is still 0% contained (it started 4mi away). Have seen 2 slurry tankers fly over my house in the past hour. Hope they get it contained overnight!

Thanks Mazin, I'm about 2000ft below the fire and 35 miles away. It's just the observatory I work at that is potentially in danger if the winds pick up.

Stay safe BC! I'm all too familiar it's that view from my house... The last 2 summers have not been kind to Colorado Springs!
