I used the same parts on the new bench. I wanted to make something with recessed tracks to allow moving from one side to the other. However time, money, tools or asking the ones who did the bench to do more than they already did was not in play.

Are my eyes deceiving me in that pic? The wood "nut sert" seems like a cool idea, but only one in the pic appears to look "threaded" the others don't have angel to them... How strong are those anyways?
