The exterior secures itself to the wood, the internal 1/4-20 speaks for itself. Strength wise, i couldn't tell you. Unless the spouse can be convinced to use the 10 or 650 as a trapeze, i highly doubt any significant weight will be applied to it.

Any recommendations for recipes for baked chicken tonight?
Not knowing what you have this is a generic recipe for on the fly meals. melt some butter mixed with olive oil. dip chicken pcs in to mix, then coat with a nice seasoned to taste flour mix, OR bread crumbs instead. We don't normlly cook skin on chicken, unless it's a whole bird.
i like cooking @ 400* for first 10 minutes then drop to 350 till done.
OR try this
Bacon Chicken
6 slices of bacon
1 Tbsp butter
1 Tbsp olive oil
5 boneless skinless breast halves
1 onion finely chopped
5 cloves garlic minced
1/8 tsp black pepper
1/2 cup parsley [optional]
1 cup shredded cheese of your choice, HINT Mozzarella
cook bacon until crisp crumble and set aside
remove bacon grease (in to jar for those home fries or taters anytime)
drop butter & olive oil in to skillet
Saute breast [med heat] turn once until cooked
put cooked chicken in ungreased baking dish [ 12 x 8 ] cook onion & Garlic in pan drippings, then stir in blk pepper and cooked bacon. Spoon over chicken breast sprinkle with parsley [ optional] and shredded cheese in a preheated 350* oven for 10-15 minutes or until cheese melts.
I agree with kazoo's colorful description! They are strong enough to keep your press secure. You're not going to rip it out either unless your using blood-rotted wood from the old ambulance. I've got a mount under my press from these guys http://inlinefabrication.com/ to increase my height. It probably distributes the load much better than having 3 or four inserts close together. Even then, I don't think you'd have a problem.
[LOL]
Kazoo wins since he has bacon.
I put a spicy rub on my chicken breasts then seared them in hot olive oil for 10 minutes. Now I'm cooking them down in a stew of watered-down salsa. The meat will get shredded and is going on tacos tonight.
The rub is roughly equal parts:
pepper
salt
chili powder
cumin
cayenne pepper
Just baked up some plain ol chicken. Good BBQ sauce fixed it.
Hmmm to work tomorrow or not? Tons of snow up in summit. Might be a good ski day.
