Barr Lake is doing a lot of stuff that you can attend for free or nominal fee aside from park entry fee...took a canoeing lesson there last summer or the year before. Found out today, and got contact info for our ranger...she said they're looking for folks to come in and get free firewood. They have a *massive" pile of wood/railroad ties/slash free for the taking...just load it up.
Bring your chainsaw and a couple of strong backs.
ETA...they'll wave the park entry fee if you're there to take firewood.

I be needin' me some of that. That whole estrogen sea awaits me shortly.
So, back to packing, storing and eventually to lawn mowing and chops on the grill....and making breakfasts and crap for the week.
