Bought an A/C recharge kit for my Focus. Didn't work. Tested the relay as good, and the diode as good (I think). Anyway, the compressor kicked on as I was adding the 134A. Seems like it immediately leaked out. Is locating the leak something I should attempt myself? Nearly every car I've ever had has come with A/C, but it's always been broken. So not fixing it isn't a huge deal, but I like to fix things myself if I can.
I can take a peek at it for you, Irving. We can toss my gauges on it and I have a leak detector as well. If I have time that is. I'll PM you my number tomorrow and we can text about it.
Okay. We leave soon for vacation, so it might be before we get back. If it's possible to do it before, that would be a Christmas Miracle to have A/C for the trip though.
