I always change out the oil filter with a new one and only do oil changes when the oil is hot so it drains easier. My guess is the diff oil was lower than I thought, even though it looked to be at the top of the fill plug. Which really isn't surprising, I haven't changed it since I bought the vehicle new in 04.

Yup, it smelled wonderful. Especially since I did a lot of river crossings years ago in CO and many times. The oil looked green and smelled like a swamp.

haha. I was dead serious. Mine is *supposed* to take 12 qts. That's right 3 Gallons of golden, silky smooth RotellaT 15W-40 and a Stratopore filter.

Also went to the range and shot 1 awesome group with the new BCM upper before the skies opened up. I'm pretty sure Lightning struck the berm at the range... I heard ssssssss CRACK KA-BOOM! I heard the sizzle at the beginning before the flash. I packed up and left real quick.
