Well that's just silly. If I ever ass end someone and they flee the scene I'm going to consider myself lucky.

Quick update. I can't recommend the KDLinks that I bought. I drove around for several hours today, and the camera dumped a ton of footage. Several hour chunks, and of course every single thing that I wanted to save from today. What a bummer. Guess I'll try a different brand if this one can't be reliable.
Was that from the camera or sd card you lost it from? I need a camera, especially after a trash truck decided he was having a bad day while blowing through the stop sign. In front of me.
i wanted parking mode after someone backed into a new (to me) car. had stopped for dinner on the way home from the dealer - i ended up getting a thinkware f770. it doesnt cover the sides that well (for door dings) but provides 300 degish coverage. i like the interface, pretty easy to install and when its parked outside my house, it acts as a security cam.
Just dropped the hammer on a KDLINKS X1 Ultra HD 165° GPS WDR. Guessing that is what Sturving is talking about. Looks like a decent unit.
I really like mine, but it's frustrating me that it's dropping footage.
Kazoo, I reformat the card after every time I take it out to look at stuff. Lately that's been on a less frequent basis. Occasionally I'll reformat just for the heck of it if it's been a while since I've taken it out for viewing.
I've had my dashcam for a couple years and recently ran into some issues with "memory errors" when the unit started. Did some looking around and apparently a lot of people recommend a "high endurance" SD card (MLC) since a standard SD card has a hard time dealing with the constant overwriting? Anyway, I just switched over to try this card out, so we'll see how it goes.

Whichever one those Russians are using that post all the dashcam videos on Youtube seem to work really well.
