You don't notice because when you aren't wearing a gun, your pants aren't falling off. Undoing belt isn't uncommon and it gives you a chance to re-set your clothes through out the day if you need.

Hmph. Try maneuvering in a stall so small you practically have to back in, undoing your belt and trying to retain your holstered weapon, your pants, AND a purse at the same time. When you're able to do that dance without anything hitting the floor, we'll talk.
