TL;DR we need more bike lanes. Right?

Just don't speed on a bicycle in a Denver park or bike path. 15 mph means 15 mph. [Police]
Tangential link: all this talk of discourteous drivers made me think of the last time I had a no where near comparable loaner from the *bleeping* ford dealership that cant bother to put a *bleeping* oil cap back on after my truck's FIRST *bleeping* oil change & then *bleeping* argued with me about performing a proper cleaning of the engine compartment & took 4 *bleeping* days to do a very half a**ed job.... i put my finger in the battery tray up to the top of my fingernails in *bleeping* oil, this is after they 'cleaned it'...
... I put a 'DIS' sign in the back window right infront of their '-Courtesy Vehicle' decal. Wish I'd thought to take a picture.
I do drive a bit impatiently, my favorite thing to grumble is: it's not going to roll over lady so turn the bloody corner already...
Oh & while speaking with the owner of the dealership I offered to go out to his vehicle, pop the hood, pour just half a quart over his engine computer et al. & then see how he felt about letting the service department clean it with the same diligence as they did mine... funny he declined, twice.
The day I put in a dash cam will be the day I decide to give all the nice folks who drive Subarus a little nudge around the turn.
That brought back an old memory of my mother. She drove a '59 Rambler Station Wagon with the Push Button Transmission.
She admitted to sometimes driving it at 85 mph on the highway and had no fear.
Her daydream was to have iron bumpers to push people through the intersections that were a little slow on the take-off.
I do miss her humor.

Nearly done...
I near throttled the guy when he said to my face: Accidents happen.
I replied: Yes, they do but this wasnt an accident at all. This was due to the service department's negligence which is why the techs have check lists they are supposed to follow to prevent such from happening.
Now do you want to try & dismiss & deflect anything more or can we be finished with the semantic gymnastics & get this taken care of?
He blinked a bunch of times for a good 10 seconds like george bush would when he was at a loss for remark & then finally said: Well, let's go out & take a look...

Yes Skip. It really was the one time I didn't check to see how many screws were still rolling around or tools were still sitting on the shroud under the hood.
When I realized what had happened & called the dealership, all they had to say was to bring it in & they'd take care of it, instead the conversation went: Are you sure we left it off?...
Back to our regularly scheduled content... promise.
Winner! Seems some idiots have to come to near a complete stop to make a right turn. "Better slow it down...don't want to roll it." [facepalm] I somehow seem to magically be able to pull into my neighborhood at the posted speed of 25 mph.
Another fave is idiots slowing drastically to then move into a long left turn lane. "Dude, get the hell out of the through lane and then slow it down." Should be entertaining with a world of narcissists that have no understanding of how they affect others past the end of their nose.
The guy coming back from the vet with an injured dog in the back, or the lady who just picked up 25 potted plants from the nursery, or the kid trying to move his fish tank all probably think the same thing about you when you're riding their ass while their trying to manage a turn without spilling/hurting anything.
*I also get pissed when people do things slowly, but having been in all of the situations listed above, and more, I try to remember to give people a break since I don't know what they're doing.
