Well Spitoon, after 24 years of applying I think you're lucky to have lived long enough to draw the tag and do the hunt. And you took a very fine bull too. Congratulations! (i'm envious).

Wondering if that funky half velvet buck had some issues with his plumbing?
I think it's called a cactus buck. I've been getting that a lot of purple have been encountering bucks with their velvet still intact way later than usual and other antler deformities.
Great links. On my hunting podcast one of the guys shot a velvet buck and they described his nutsack exactly how the article does.
