Ya, if you pay more for labor, you have to charge more, but then when the money isn't mailed to mexico every week, people in your area also have a lot more to spend, so it's a damn good thing if fruit costs 50% more because your unemployment rate is then about 2% and the money being invested into local economies is about 2x (FPOOMA) -- figure pulled out of my $$$

I have yet to see illegals working on high tension lines, dangerious jobs like in the lumber industry, or working as RN's manually dis-impacting bowels. I fail to see why American's would not want to pick fruit, if they were paid for it. I'd like to see an illegal willing to grab poop out of a persons rear.

they do jobs that are extremely small task, very simple, mostly outside (easy to run I guess), and cheap labor.
a tractor and a few implements are easy replacements. but since a tractor can break down, and 50 illegals can get replaced in no time and no insurance is required to get paid, the farmers that employ them figure their total overall cost is reduced, probably significantly.

people from Mexico do shop at Mexican owned company's like avanza they do not know it is a American owned company,that does charge them a extra 10% of there bill which they pay for in food stamps.oh wait they don't care its not there money it is ours the taxpayer what the f[Bang][Bang][Rant1][Rant2]

Dang I wasn’t discussing the economic ramifications just that that the little buggers work hard.

Like I said before if I had my way I send them all home and ideally have a shoot to kill policy for all the little buggers hopping across the border.

The bottom line is:

We make it too easy for them to get and stay here,
We make it too easy for BFF’s to be on welfare,
Too many people expect to make big $ for no education and/or skill set.

As for being a liberal, do you see any ‘I voted for Obama’ comments? Also I don’t drive a Prius, live in Boulder, wear sandals or have a beard!

Roofing is one potentially high(er) paying industry that has a lot of illegals in it.

The roofer companies make tons off insurance. The illegals are there because their labor are dirt cheap (for a roofer).

I had my roof done two years ago and contracted with a local roofing company.
The day arrived and so did 3 nice 4x4 trucks with 10 hispanics and my roof was done in one day.
Didn't get a chance to talk to any but the first guy as I left for work - he spoke broken english - I did leave a cooler full of water and soda out... there were only a couple gone when I came home.
Were they illegal?
Who knows..
Did they do a good job...
Pretty much.
Did they have nice vehicles - yes.
