New show on Discovery! "SONS Of GUNS" saw a commercial

A big ole thumbs down on this show. Usually new shows will have a really good, accurate and interesting one as their pilot and then they can kinda go down hill from there on. This one started out crappy and that goofy daughter sure as hell did nothing to help the quality of the new show. It's a looser in my worth nothing opinion and I won't waste my valuable time watching future episodes unless there is a drastic change.

I hear what your saying and its a good point that we could all agree on, appearance of process and laws and all that.

All that process and paperwork goes away in the editing by the producers, I dont think its possible to educate the public on laws and process and not make a bad show worse.
Nothing anyone can say anyway will make the anti gun nuts any less anti gun. We all have to stop dreaming that they are rational and can be talked to, they hate the American Constitution for what it is and thats the way it is.

Maybe next week the swat team he sold weapons to will be back with the ATF to use the master key on his door.
If he's breaking laws the ATF was watching last night also and his dog will be killed soon, so dont worry.
I'll presume hes innocent until proven guilty.

I think it is quite a bit worse than American Choppers mainly because on AC they custom build everything. They are not putting two bikes together to make one new bike. They are making the thing from the ground up. The closest thing to that, that the other guy did was the custom suppressor which just sucked. I don't like AC either, just saying at least they do actual custom work, not cut and paste.

Gonna call Bullsh:t on OCC being builders. They are bike assemblers, not builders. A little artsy fartsy sheetmetal work and accessories building does not make a builder. I have built a couple of bikes from frame up so I am familiar with what it takes to build a sled. I have seen some of their work close up in person and I am not impressed.
Indian Larry, Jesse James, Arlen Ness, Billy Lane and the like- now those are builders. They take a pile of metal and fabricate a sled starting with the frame.
Jr and Sr take parts out of boxes and bolt them together and call it a custom build. The only one out of the whole OCC crew that had a builders vision was Rick.


Back on topic- I will agree that I think not explaining the Class III process or at least illustrating the fact that the guy that bought the suppressed Saiga has to go through the NFA process before he can possess said firearm is a huge disservice.
The Civil War Confederate cannon was cool though.

Yep, fail all over the place. You paid 1500$ for a Cobray flair launcher (ok, you got the AR with it) Dern, I'll sell you mine. I liked the fat-ass SWAT team, complete with Bushy Carbon-15 pistol/SBR/whatever. 3000$ for a cut down Sagia "masterkey". You can get a real KAC Masterkey for around 1800-2000$. Also, most specialty shotgun rounds like shocklock, rubber buckshot,taser, ect. won't cycle a semi gun, so why have that heavy ass thing. I could go on...............

Come on, there weren't any NFA laws broken. It's a freakin' "reality" TV show and all they care about are ratings. Those transactions have been planned for weeks/months.

You never actually see the customer leave with the suppressed Saiga. In fact when the shop owner says "Now we have a couple hours of paperwork to do" the shotgun is in HIS hand.

I challenge you to find one single violation of federal firearms law ... I guarantee you if there is one on the show you'll read about how the ATF raided the guy's shop long before the episode airs.

from how they talked and presented themselves it seemed scripted almost like they new what to say at certain points and or told to say something. i would agree it would be nice for them to explain to the public how one obtains a NFA item in a short version! only two episodes down ill watch a few more just to see where they go.

i will agree with BP the cannon was Cool!
