18 - Bushmaster XM15, sold later to pay an unexpected vet bill
21 - W. German P228
When I turned 18 in Komifornia I signed the paperwork on a Ruger Mini 14. I think it was seven days later I was able to take it home. Nope don't miss it at all.
21st B-day (wow, long time ago)... Ruger Mark II, and no, I don't have it anymore... I did love the gun, but takedown was a pain in the rear. I "upgraded" to a POS SIG Mosquito, and traded that junk for a GSG 1911 .22lr (that is perfect!).
But yeah, I do wish I had the Ruger still... :) I have a Desert Shield/Storm Beretta M9 (yeah, I was there) that I'll never sell or trade - the Ruger was in the same category (first handgun), but I blew that one... Now all I have are pictures...
I bought a Remington Viper .22 rifle on my 18th birthday. I think it was $120. It is still sitting in my safe but I havent shot it in a decade at least.
Received my red ryder at 10, Winchester model 190 at 14, Winchester 94 at 16, Bought my Browning A-5 at 18 and Colt Trooper Mark V at 21. I still have everyone of them.
None for 18 & 21 but had a Marlin .22 tube fed around 10yrs old (too long ago to remeber exact year), 15th b-day was a 30.06 woodsmaster and 870 wingmaster (matching set) and for 16th b-day S&W .357. Still have all 4 in the collection. In my humble little opinion guns are like gold, you just never get rid of them unless it's for a better on I guess.....
Marlin 22 for 18th Birthday, or soon after, and a Ruger GP 100 for 21st. Still have both, excellent guns.
18th was a .375 H&H
21st was a Kimber 1911
18- Remington 870 HD....sold it
