I don't know much about antique knives, so I'm wondering how much that's actually worth.

I don't know much about antique knives, so I'm wondering how much that's actually worth.
HAHAHA! Those were my EXACT thoughts.
I looked at my wife and said "what the crap is he talking about... wasn't that .50 cal sparkly blue and pink?"
They are all TERRIBLE actors. That argument between him and his wife over that gun was COMPLETELY staged. It was so incredibly forced.
If its an actual Damascus blade, it could be worth quite a bit, but I feel the same way.
And what the eff... I haven't seen his daughter ONCE in this entire episode.
OMG!!! The building is going to burn down!!! RUNNN!!!!
God I wish Red Jacket was on.
Haha yeah that was crap...won't be wasting anymore life on that one.
[Phone] Where's all the 16 year old titties tonight?
Sexy.......[ROFL3]

[Bang]
OOOooooohhhhh it's got white grips!!!!
Im thinking the real coin from this show will be made when the daughter turns 18. Hey Hef...you going to live that long?
This thread is lacking... Zzzzzzz
If you're not part of the solution...
[Tooth]
I don't know which is worse this show or Red Jacket?[Bang] Did anybody recognise Gary that bought the hand cannon, he looks familiar?
That guy could probly get 75k within two weeks on this site and a douchebag wouldn't get those beautiful guns. Oh look at that the magazine fell out that ar pistol is junk or maybe your son can't operate a ar15
The gunsmith has the biggest boobs of all and WTF did he eat richie riches daughter
I am tired of the stupid helicopter.
joe
What an awful show. Finally had a chance to catch about 5 minutes of it and couldn't take it anymore.
How much are those barrett 50s going for? The kid sold it for $12K. I thought they were around $9-$10K??
Guns America has one from a dealer in Florida for $8K. There's apparently a $4k surcharge to be on TV.
Do you think the GS/Discovery people are actually reading any of this? [LOL]
I'm waiting for the lawsuit to pop up over the use of the name "Gunsmoke". Surely that's a copyright infringement on the old TV show with Marshall Dillon?
I feel my last remaining IQ points being inexorably sucked towards the north northeast by that black hole of stupidity...
The asshat knew he was going to buy a large sum of guns that would not fit in the stupid helicopter. It's a stupid gimmick that is making the show even lamer then the actual content. His drama about doing a pink gun was absurd. The customer is paying you. Shut your piehole and be thankful she is giving you her business. His comment of " we make guns for men. In America " was stupid as well.
Maybe this is a new BATFE regulation to combat violence committed by guns exported from the US to third world countries. If the guns don't work outside of America then there wouldn't have been a F&F scandal. I'm just sayin' [ROFL1]
I've never been in their store. I have never seen the show. Based on this thread alone, I feel that I have made the correct decision in both cases.
I'm the son of a mother who survived breast cancer... this idiotic take on 'pink' guns was horribly offensive in the month of October which is national breast cancer awareness month. He could've gone the other way and mentioned it in a good light and earned some much needed brownie points from the general public who is smart enough to realize what this could represent but instead he continued down the twat waffle path that he has beaten a path down. He turned into a dick before she could even finish the details of what she wanted or why she wanted it. The way he parades his closest loved one's tits for profit you think he would be a little more empathetic to the cause. I hope neither of them ever gets breast cancer and he never needs to know what that's like.
I also felt a shift in the gravitational pull that lasted a couple seconds a few months ago and now, having watched last night's episode, I can see that when Ma' Wyatt hugged the buxom customer that their breasteses touching was the culprit. Did y'all feel that too?
American Guns: The story of a stereotypical used car salesman, his bitchy wife, and his hot teenage daughter(what posses a father to allow her to be filmed dressed like this:eek:). What is the point of this show? …besides watching this guy work fake scams to separate gun owners from their collections all of which is probably subsidized by the Discovery Channel. Wow, they used CNC to build two revolvers, converted a muzzle loader into an outdated POS, and did some engraving…that isn’t something you see every day. I guess there are people with money who don’t care how they spend it, but there is nothing in this show that would bring me into his shop regardless of the hot teenage daughter…not to mention the gunsmith shop does not inspire confidence. Fortunately, the DVR allows for selective viewing and editing when there is nothing else on television. I guess this thread is titled appropriately; however, they need to cover up the mom…[Puke]
I can't believe I read the whole thread. The mom needs to cover up her sagging weathered boobs.
For the guys waiting for the daughter to turn 18. Just look at her mom and see what hot and attitude looks like when the hot is gone.
This last episode, oh lord, you should of heard the wife. She didnt ask, she told me to change the channel, to which I was more then eager to myself. Though this show obviously was aired in october, I dont know when it was actually filmed, so the thoughts of "saving second base" may not of been on anyone's minds. It may not have anything to do with breast cancer even(the gal with the huge boobies). Rich's attitude sucks, his wife has some perky ones for her age, but look fake to me. Its hokie, and the most fake of all the reality shows thus far. Now maybe if the daughter got knocked up by a gangbanger in Aurora, and his wife was having tantrums like AMerican Chopper, it would have some entertainment value.(hint)
I realize it may not have been breast cancer awareness month at the time this was filmed but to rip on what someone else wants (especially a paying customer) or likes is pretty childish & shows zero class. It shouldn't matter what the reason behind it is even though this one could have a pretty obvious and profound reason. That's all I'm saying.
I know, I didnt mean to sound like I questioned your thoughts. I totally agree with you, whether its for breast cancer, or thats what blows the customer's skirt up. Take her money, make it look better then she wanted, and that will show how good they really are. Keep his idiot attitude off camera.
I have to say, I wasn't planning on watching this at all because I hate reality shows. But, the subject matter got me interested so I figured I'd give it a chance and downloaded the first 2 episodes.
Wow, I have got to say that he is totally full of himself and the reason I don't like dealing with gun shops. In several cases, he had roughly a 33% markup from what he bought the guns for, to what he is going to sell them for. Granted, I would be interested if he actually SELLS that Deluxe rifle for $25k, or the Emerson Pistol for $30k.
Add to that the stupid comments between the two kids: "Hey, you've never shot anything and had it explode...Yea, but it took you three shots...". Pointless banter that I really don't care about.
Not sure if I'm going to watch the other episodes, especially because of all the other reasons mentioned in this thread.
Oh, and by the way Wyatt: You don't take precise measurements with a ruler. You use calipers like your "machinist" did. And yea, +/- 0.001" is almost pathetic for the work from a CNC. I work with a local machine shop here, and they CONSISTENTLY machine parts to a tolerance of 0.0005".
That guy that spent $5k on the knuckle duster to be machined from scratch: You've got too much money! Yea, its unique but the fact of the matter is, you'll probably put the two pistols together in a glass case for display. Did Gunsmoke even engrave the Knuckle Duster they made? As far as I could tell, they didn't. Which means they didn't go the extra step to replicate the one you gave them like they should have. At least, thats' what I would have expected for $5k.
eta: Regarding the whole pink pistol that he refused to make for someone (haven't seen the episode, just going off what I've seen). He presented that rancher a PINK .50cal rifle! And you wonder why he didn't accept it? Did you look at the majority of the guns in his vault? They were all wooden stocks! Granted I'm not surprised he was trying to pawn it off on the rancher, who in their right mind would buy that? It would have to cater to JUST the right person who would want that color scheme.
I'll bet that child can't hit the broad side of a barn with that compact 45.
I'm sure she can her stance looks pretty good and she looks very good doing it
Can't actually see her stance to judge it, her Weaver is really odd and looks uncomfortable to me, what with her right elbow locked and arm pulled tight across her body like that. So that looks like a comfortable, strong, confident stance to you?
Are you offering?
My mom died of breast cancer. I don't care if people want to do all the meaningless runs or wear the ribbons. Its all for show anyway. I just want the people searching for the cure to find it.
If that ever stops I will get livid about it. I offer to test the fairer sex for lumps too if they are to busy to check it themselves. I'm just looking out for them.
There are lumps all the time too. WTH?
Well,,,,,,,like the show or not, it sure has givin us something to post about. Should make it a sticky because this thread isn"t going to die until the current season is over.[Beer]
