Just ordered the Blackwash Cryo2 today-poor man's ZT : Attachment 59790
Got it over the weekend-a few issues which I think I addressed and hopefully resolved. Appearance and finish good out of the box, super sharp.
Issues-pivot was so tight it wouldn't open(loosening it up to work affected the blade alignment big time) Frame lock takes 2 hands to function.
Flipper is working much better now and able to tighten up pivot which improved the blade alignment (break in I guess). Frame lock is still a lot harder to operate than it should be. Conclusion:$40 knife made in China-I suppose it could have been a lot worse.
A gerber pocket knife and a husky utility knive
The last year I have carried nothing other than a Benchmade Griptillian, Gerber folding box knife (for those jobs where I don't care about the blade edge and I just need to cut stuff), and a Fenix LD12. Haven't needed to change it up. I love carrying a utility knife alongside my regular blade.
Kershaw/Emerson CQC-7 or Ontario Knives RAT-2. I'm all about inexpensive blades that function properly. I figure I'd rather spend my extra money on more ammo.
Clinch Pick on the belt and a small Swiss Army for chores. If I'm in more formal clothing I have a Spyderco Pikal clipped to an RCS Pocket Shield.
^ which spiderco is that?
Manix G10 FFG
I love that knife. I need one in my life
Just Amazon'ed that same knife, got it in the mail yesterday as a b-day gift for the boy. Off to Coloradogunwrites this afternoon for a little B-day engraving.
Seems like a very nice knife, wish I had one for myself!
I happen to be a Spyderco dealer, and as of 1/2/16, you won't be seeing the same sort of deals on Amazon due to implementation of a MAP policy.
Advertised prices will not be allowed to be more than 40% off of MSRP. Dealers can sell at any price they desire. I can meet pretty much anyone's deal on their knives...[Flower]
ETA: I'm also qualified as a "Restricted Item" dealer, so if you're active military or LEO, I can order their automatics for you (although they're currently on back order).
My current EDC is a crappy Spyderco Tenacious. I hate that thing. I would carry something nicer if I didn't use my knife as a screwdriver/pry bar/gasket scraper/hammer on a daily basis.
Get a Kershaw Cryo of two. They're cheap and yet well built.

The Kershaw Cryo2 looks pretty nice other than I am not a huge fan of the frame lock. I have a Lionsteel frame lock so it isn't like I am not familiar with the design. I just don't care for it.
Unfortunately, it's been discontinued. The only auto currently in production is the Autonomy.

Same one I have been carrying for many years.

Old school. Nice. I would carry something simple like that but I really like the pocket clip so I don't have to shove my dirty hands all the way down into my pocket to retrieve it.
I think Case makes a couple of traditional type pocket knives that have a clip on them. I might have to ask for one for Christmas.
Carried this Buck one for a couple of years now :
(pic handle of mine is black though)
