Very true... and as recent as '06 they were doing the chamber- which was hell, but I do remember, even in a closed environment with heavy saturation I felt that I was still 40% combat effective, but that was a room about the size of my dining room, this is a large auditorium. I think it would depend on where it was being dispersed from in relation to my position and several other factors. Remember, besides environmental factors like gas or lighting (the movie was still playing during all this), there is quite a bit of stress under sustained fire and you never know how you'll react until you actually experience it- which I pray none of us ever have to (especially those who have already).
This is a great question... I also agree with tinelement.
Holy shit...64 pages..
All I have to say.
Remember it? I love the sight of chili-mac on the grass [ROFL1]
The funniest part was watching the first guy try to go through the door while at least one (sometimes two) of the drill sgts. blocking the door. [ROFL2]
No matter how many times you would tell recruits not to wipe their face, they spent the next three minutes smearing that CS all over themselves.
I really enjoyed the chem gear familiarization module of basic training. [ROFL3]
Good times [Flower]

CS gas is much more powerful than police riot gas, especially in the grenades.
Is there any intel on what the grenades looked like? If it was a Silver canister with a red stripe on it then it was a Military CS grenade. (ABC-M7A2)
You ought to try it on "C" rats..........
^^^ old fart!
Knock down, as it were, isn't what you think it is, with low velocity arms like a pistol or even a .223 for that matter.
I watched a clip of the owner of Second Chance take a .308 from a FAL in the breadbasket with plates on and he doesn't even rock back. In the last fatal OIS at work, the bad guy took two to the mellon and went straight down. No dramatics. Just saying.
