Okay, I was just relaying info I was given by an NCO during .50 cal training... They said that "According to the Geneva Conventions it is illegal to target personnel with a .50 cal, but you're okay to target their equipment so aim for their canteen. Intent vs result." So maybe this was an instance where perhaps I was given wrong information...

I sent a newbie to the PSG one time while out in the field to get a box of .50 cal TRACER BLANKS....I said make sure they have the orange tips.[M2]
I said "How am I gonna see where Im hitting when I shoot with the BFA on?"
Got a glare from PSG when he saw us laughing so hard.
