I fed mine live mice as well. I always just kept a card board box or a clear plastic tub. Just toss snake into tub, put mouse in, and let him eat in the tub. Every snake person will tell you that the best way is to feed them in a different enclosure. I'd say possibly even more so in your case because if you're afraid of snakes, you're less likely to be handling him often. You don't want the snake expecting a mouse every time you reach into the cage, only when he's in his feeding place. Rich at scales n tails Lakewood said just open top and dump mouse in..... Its only been 1 feeding though. Got him last Saturday.

i'm actually just going to seal it up like a sucking chest wound to keep the dirt out, then I'm going to take a tripod and a folding chair. I'll just sit there and shoot long distances. it'll be funny I think.

Thanks! It's the camera flash which I'm sure pissed him off. He is a Nelsons albino milk snake.... I forgot the genus species.

That *is* a cool looking snake BTW, MC.
