i have no idea about that. it's just a show that I don't mind watching because it's not a cooking show or a 'looking for a house' or a 'fix everything that's wrong with my house bc I got a crappy contractor' shows.

that show "Holmes Inspection" and "Holmes Makes It Right" really creep me out. makes me want to never buy a house... or build it myself, really..

I was worried about buying a house, too. We went with the housing inspector that not only answered questions I asked, but did so with frankness. Never go with who the real estate agent suggests.

Mrs. Belly and I are going to have our house built. we are both so picky about the little features, that a cookie cutter suburbanite dream probably won't work for us. she needs an awesome kitchen to bake her ass off, and I need a gun room the size of a basketball court.

the houses here in Texas don't have basements, and that's a weird thing for me to deal with.

the nice thing, is that you can get a polished concrete flooring in your house, so the roomba works like a damn champ!!

and watching dogs slip and slide when they run is always fun.

watching me slip and slide when i run, is also hilarious.

Absolutely legit. We would have had our house built, until we saw what became our home. Having your home built is a really good idea, if you have a lot of very specific ideas/needs.

A basement was one of a non-negotiable points in our house-hunting. And our cats slid and slip on our dining room floor, which is wood. It's hilarious!
