Maybe this sounds insensitive, but i won't mourn his loss much. He means a lot to me, but I don't feel sorry for him. He has lived a hell of a life and he is just about ready to move on. I'm more worried about my dad. :-/ Seeing my dad all broken up like that just destroys me more than anything else in the world. Fortunately, I haven't had to say goodbye to any close friends before their time.
