I think they are closed. Have a sign on door that says they are closed for a 5 1/2 day class but have not been open for at least two weeks. People have been writing on the sign saying they came from other states to see them and have lost their business etc...

Don't know how he could keep the doors open considering. Been wanting to drive by, thanks for the update.

Was back home in NE a couple years ago and talking to some locals when the show was still on the air. They were talking about making a special trip so they could stop in the shop and meet them. They looked at me like I was a jerk when I tried to explain how most Colorado folks are not fans.

My dad, back in MO, was a fan of the show. I explained the same thing to him and gave examples of why we aren't fans. He was surprised but decided dropping by their store the next time he was in CO was probably a waste of time. Funny how television can depict one side of things that really doesn't give a decent or accurate picture of how things really are.

On another forum they were going on and on about him taking a helicopter to Golden CO to buy a gun...they were shocked when I informed them that Golden was probably closer to drive to than the airport where he took the helicopter from.

Yup- On the S&W forum, a member asked about buying the "Wyatt Deep Cover" 637. I chimed in about not wanting anything associated with "Gunsmoke" or "Wyatt" and gave a few examples why. From some of the responses, you would guessed I had just directly insulted their mother.
