None of the critics here face the dangers that officer does every single day, the threats against him and his family, and against his brothers. I applaud him for making the hard decision to do what was necessary, safe (finger is clear of the trigger), and legally right, to ensure he made it home at the end of the day. Most of the critics here have never made that decision nor have the balls/ability/mindset necessary to do that. Are local cops becoming more militaristic? Of course! Look at the current threats they face today. If you want to flap your gums about their tactics then take it up with their chiefs, not the guy on the street everyday just trying to provide for his family.
