Actually CLEO can deputize the local populace, as needed. I believe this town can be shut down to outside ground travel, within an hour. Depending how good the lines of communication are.

Just think about the fun that type of response would mean for the logistics into major metropolitan areas.

A terror attack on US soil doesn't concern me greatly. The Government response after the fact does.

Does anyone believe as I do that any attack within this country would cause the anti gunners to stop or even reverse some ground they have gained toward disarming Americans. It seems that should any outside entity invade us, even the uninformed could see the light and find a possible reason to arm themselves.

It might change the minds of some fence sitters about arming themselves but the anti gunners would say something akin to guns are illegal in Mexico so they must have bought them here so we need to ban all guns to keep the children safe. Your logic works great when it comes to logical people, anti gunners are anything but that.
