Did mine today. Put my ring on my side mirror as I was rubbing off some overspray from my hood dip. As usual Im a mile a minute thinker especially while doing manual labor. So finished and moved onto the next 5 things I had in my head to do....
Suffice to say just in last hour figured out I was missing something. No signs of it on my block in gutter and my lawn. Figured it shoulda slid off when I came off the curb or the closest kinda mini road ditch thing. SOB may have stayed like a champ till I was headed further into town... or some kid found it during the course of the day....
Might luck out w/ police lost and found tommorow. >.< FML
^ Yep I have about 5 rings that I rotate thru for this reason.
WRU these cheap rings, hers way more, but this POS was 250 or 500 at kays. Tungsten with a black like carbon fiber looking-ey band around the center.
Same here. My wife found out that mine cost under $10 AFTER shipping and went out and bought some other ring and gave it to me at our wedding. I don't know how much mine costs, but I think only like $250 or something. I still have my original one. Wish there was another use for rings, then I'd toss it into my EDC bag. Maybe I should wear it on vacations in case I get robbed or something.
Selling for first GLOCK purchased in 1991[facepalm]
Haha! I'm pretty sure my wife knows there's a million things I'd rather have than a more expensive ring. But I do want to get her something nicer eventually
I had to have mine cut off around 1985 or so during a mishap and she made me get it repaired. Just a simple gold band with a now barely visible inscription with our wedding date. The outside brushed finish is worn smooth and it's far from round, rather battered and beat up, kind of like us. I think she thought the inscription might help if I forgot and if it's off for any reason, like a minor flesh wound I had on that finger from the damn thing a few months back she notices.
I used to take it off all the time working on electrical gear and never wore it during work hours, and never seemed to have trouble finding it at the end of the day.
OTOH, she "lost" her engagement ring and I was lucky enough to buy her a newer, bigger, shinier one several years ago to kinda sorta match the marriage band.
For me it didn't help typically I never take it off, so picking it up is slightly foreign concept.
