Good insight, thank you. I'll look into it.

Looking for good recommendations for a good dash cam. One that takes clear recordings and concealable.
Thanks
I've been pretty happy with my Veckle Mini0906.

Needs a hard-wire kit to use the Parking Guard feature.
I use an open source viewing software, "Registrator Viewer" but the author died and the Google maps API is currently broken. It still works, just gives google map errors when reviewing the video/gps data.
If you wanna spend a bunch, look at Blackvue.
Ask Irving, he has a dual front/rear unit that he likes .
I haven't responded because my camera hasn't been as reliable as it needs to be and I don't know if it's because the camera is cheap, or because I didn't get the best style of SD card to use in it, or both.
Why does the camera need to be concealable, and from who?
The little 0906 is not concealed but is pretty discreet behind the mirror as it is difficult to see from a standing position outside my car. I could tuck it up higher but wanted to be able to see/run the controls. Besides the sensors that should lock a recording on impact, it comes with a little remote I have stuck on the backside of my phone cradle that I can press to take a pic, or long press to lock a recording.
I think anything else is going to need to be a remote cam in your grill. Depending on your vehicle, there are replacement rear view mirrors that are cameras but I question the quality. That said, I haven't looked into them much other than browsing.
Quality SD cards are a must if the unit has loop recording.
