sad day for a well respected man.
I like this country. I do not like our CIC. I'm sure many of you feel the same.
In the same vein, I like Apple's products (I'm typing this on my MacBook, with an iPod and an iPhone in the other room)... but I do not like their (former) CEO.
I don't see why there's a problem with this.
If I may ask which one?
John Scully who outed Jobs.
Michael Spindler who drove AAPL to trash can
Gil Amelio who somewhat restructured AAPL , but still fail to turn AAPL around.
BTW, I remember this article from Sep this year.

What is it with a liberal mind that instead of reading the words that are in front of them they choose to assume they know what the words said?
!. Go back and find anything in this thread where I said Apple products were no good and that no one should buy them? I simply said go do a little research before having an orgasm. Perspective. Keep the praise in perspective. Something modern Americans have a big problem with. The reason being that this society has been so condition to accept mediocrity that anything that is 1% above mediocrity is touted as the second coming, obama included.
What I was amazed at was the clamor from these circles to jump on the "Lets sing Steve Jobs praises" bandwagon just to be part of the "in crowd".
If you want to heap praise on a life you make damn sure you look at the whole life, not just the part that suits your preconceived notions.
What tortured logic do you need to use to rationalize putting money in the pocket of your enemy. Or maybe the reality is you aren't that wild about freedom and rights to begin with. And that is cool. But if your decision to put money in the hands of people who are the enemy of my rights and every other freedom loving American, that is going to be a problem and I will call foul.
As far as joining dots. How many people including servicemen and women who served and are serving in war zones as well as their families and friends purchased their home appliances from GE? The same GE that was using one of its German holdings to violate international sanctions to sell equipment to the Iranian regime who was using the stuff to make weapons for the folks they were supplying whose soul purpose was to attack and kill the American men and women who had in their ranks the folks who bought the appliances.
How many people who claim to hold the Constitution dear continue to do business with companies like Conoco Philips who blatantly violate their employee's 2nd Amendment rights? Or 7-11 who fire employees for defending their life on the job with a firearm? How many people were buying and still do from Ethan Allen Furniture while the owner was fully aware that his American born kid was in Afghanistan fighting Jihad and the old man was involved with radical Islamist groups.
I am weary of imposters on my team.

I am buying this movie. Better than a movie "Social Network."
WHen I first watched at a class on yr 2000ish , debate was more about what did AAPL did wrong.
So many Apple haters at that time.
People didn't give a crap about apple, when they weren't doing good. HOwever, when Apple start to do good, people got into apple wagon.

HUH???????
Trying to talk like yoda does not make you intelligent, or mystical.
" dropped on your head" has been a euphemism for stupid/dumb for as long as I can recall. What else would those words have meant oh mystical one?
So since you have this whole global conspiracy thing going ...
Who's products do you buy that are not "evil" ? of the two you have mentioned so far .. rolex... a swiss company.. and "Chebby" ( Chevy... UAW.. one of the liberal's and Obama's biggest contributors.... )
Who's products are we allows to buy and not be a "RINO" in your eyes?
Apple political contributions from 1999-present +$776,000. Of that 19% to Republicans, 59% to Dems.
Steve Jobs political contributions as of 2004 were $229,000. Of that 91% $209K went to Dems, $19K to special interests ?? and $1000 to Republicans.
I'm not arguing that this happened numb nuts...
why do you think the first sentence of this entire thread is "The Mans politics set aside...."
he was a flaming liberal.. we ALL knew this .... doesn't change the fact he was an amazing innovator.
so you gonna answer the questions I've asked in my posts.. or just gonna spout information we all already knew???
