How's the Yorktown looking these days?

I know as little about what really happened as everyone else in here. That being said, I firmly believe that this was most likely a case of some typical yuppy seeing the sign and thinking that it was a reference to Obama, then getting all butthurt offended and tearing down the sign. I believe you are really overthinking the incident when you say that it was a premeditated hate crime intended as an affront to your spiritual/religious/whatever beliefs.

Luigi, I really think you should make this your avatar. It's actually a pretty badass photo.

Good actually, I'm going to post some of the pics I took on it in the pictures section here in a minute if you are interested (they're cell phone pics because I'm pretty sure my camera is gone baby gone)

I was on her a year or 2 ago, the vets on board were talking about necessary dredging, etc. Love those WW2 ships! How hard would it be for the gov't to designate 100 mil or so to renovate some of the old floating museums? Let's not even get started talking about the Olympia!!

Well, you may have to buy me one too. While we've never met, and we've disagreed a few times on various threads, I think you're a good decent guy.

While I expect you'll get the same level of effort/resolution to what happened to you as I got when someone smashed my car window & stole a few things, I think you're doing the right thing by reporting & perusing this. Good luck.
