There are several individuals who missed the whole point of the post.
I have no intention of being the left lane police nor do I drive in the left lane unless the right lane is full of cars driving slow all of which I have no desire to drive behind, and yes a person is perfectly within their right to pass the slower traffic especially if they are traveling the speed limit. I have driven ridiculously fast on many occasions except that I have the common sense to do so when the only person killed if something goes wrong is me.
However, to the point of the post and given the traffic in the metro area, the left lane is generally full of cars going slightly faster then the right lane, and those cars in the left lane have every right to pass those in the right. About 95% of the drivers are fine driving with traffic. However, there are a few jerks who feel it necessary to flash their lights and tailgate to get a better place in line. I find it ironic that these individuals end up stuck in traffic right in front of me.
To the transplant comment. I have three generations of my family currently living in Colorado (the fourth generation are all dead); 20 years ago we never put up with the crap we are putting up with now.
Incidentally, the more humorous story I heard lately was from a friend in the Jeffco Sheriff’s department. One of these rude assholes of which I speak pulled this with him in his unmarked vehicle so he pulled over and when the guy stormed by cutting him off, he got a nice little surprise when the lights went on and a big fine with the speeding and careless driving ticket.
NOWHERE in my post did I justify the guy just cruising in the left lane.

I also got side swipped by a chick in a tahoe the other day. talking on her phone and smoking a cigarette while trying to maneuver 2 round-a-bouts. she came close the on the first one, then if I hadn't watched her close and slammed the brakes she would have wiped out my drivers side. The context of this discussion is passing slow traffic so the only context to interpret your comment is based on my traveling slower then you want to go. People get OFF the elevator FIRST and then the people get ON the elavator. Trying to get ON the elevator while people are getting OFF shows that one has no clue. [Coffee]
