Those are called grants, and your tax dollars at work. You get the right hook up, once one city or town buys your work, it's a domino effect. I know a few artist who started small in wyo 20+ years ago and to date get calls monthly to see " if they have an interest" .

Whatever's behind those murals, I love 'em cos at least they're not boring. Same for the blue mustang with glowing red eyes.

As my better half is an "artist", I gave up trying to interpret any art, because 99% of the time, my left brain has no idea what her right brain is trying to convey.

That being said, I worry far more about politicians, bankers, and lawyers then some colors being thrown up on a wall...

Reviving a zombie thread.

My most recent paranoid theory:

Donald Trump was deliberately elected by the socialist/progressive/democrat/whatevers with the sole intention of widening the divide between the 2 big parties, then driving moderate Republicans to the other side with ever more erratic and outrageous behavior, so that by the time 2020 rolls around, the Republicans are so weak that the Dems can field literally Karl Marx and get him/her/it elected, as well as take control of the House and Senate. As evidence, I present the numerous personnel changes, odd choices for cabinet posts, pointless trade wars, deliberate antagonization of other world leaders (friends and foes alike). I know President Trump is NOT an idiot, as one does not successfully run businesses by being an idiot, but a complicit media is doing a very good job of portraying him as such.
