So far the bills have only passed out of Senate committees. They have to pass a vote of the whole Senate. There is still a remote chance that three democrats will vote no on some of the bills.
You can thank redistricting for getting John Morse elected. Take a look at the shape of District 11. By including Manitou, Old Colorado City, and the southern half of Colorado Springs, then leaving out the area around Fort Carson and the Broadmore, it pretty much ensured a Democrat got elected. Not to mention all of the shenanigans Owen Hill had to pull just to be eligible for that district.

Unfortunately, all the districts are like that now in Colorado. The Dem(rats) put a lot of work in the 2000 and 2010 redistricting with a stacked court to help. My senate district includes parts of Denver and Boulder Counties to washout the votes of the mountain communities in west Jefferson and Gilpin counties. The whole thing is pretty sick.
It's funny though isn't it? We were all taught way back in high school US History that "gerrymandering" was bad, and yet, that's how the game is played today. Both sides do it, giving each other safe districts if the legislature is balanced or ramrodding their plan through if they have a majority. There have been ballot initiatives to create more compact districts based solely on population and existing city or county lines in a few states so far, but they are fought tooth and nail by whichever party stands to lose and then watered down if passed (see Ammendments 5 & 6 in Florida).
Time for a quote update based on the changing times.

If by 19 you're not a conservative, you have no brain.
