I agree with that.
Oh shit....I need to run out and bring the second batch in, and start the third.
Heya Mazin....
I'm impressed with this tumbler gidgy.
Guy at our range has / had the balls to actually start picking up brass as i was shooting. I caught him off the side. put down the rifle and asked, Hey any reason you're crawling up my ass like a student driver! That's all it took. OH BTW i believe that's my brass in your hand. Thanks.
It starts with the "i'm policing brass" and has the potential to end up with someone's gun missing.
Sez the joisey puker, listening to 2 live crew.

I have a feeling that you, one day, will see the true scarfing ability that my skinny ass is capable of.
:)
Were it me at the range, and someone was picking up my brass with intent of keeping it.......I would not be very nice about it.
Hence....High Road Roberth.
Hey OBC, check into crushed walnut lizzard bedding on Amazon, that stuff is cheap and works great too!
Here's what I bought: http://www.amazon.com/Zilla-11678-Gr...lizard+bedding
I just added a capful of Nu Finish car polish (orange bottle stuff) to my older media the other day and got SUPER shiny brass in only 3 hours, where it would normally take about 6hrs to get my brass that clean/shiny.
Also, if you haven't heard it yet, add a USED dryer anti-static sheet cut up into a few pieces to the tumbler. It will attract dust, keep your tumbler from spewing dust in the air and also keeps the media clean longer.
Regarding kitty litter, I would imagine it'd be too soft to do any good. Perhaps the crystal type might do it, but still, both of them are super dusty.
Thanks, BC.
You guys are a wealth of information......I appreciate it.
Did you decide if you were going to "co author" the paper?
As far as someone stealing my brass goes, I'd be pretty upset!
If I see someone shooting brass that I can use and they are walking on it, I'll ask them if they mind if I pick up their brass for them and then keep it. Most of the time, they're happy to not have to bend over to pick it up themselves.
Recently found a friend of a friend that enjoys going shooting in groups, so we invite him along with us. He doesn't reload and has no desire to, but once he found out I reload, he's starting picked up his brass (9mm/40sw) and holds it until he sees me again and then gives it to me. He also saves the 50rd ammo boxes for me, since I don't have enough lol
If you have any other questions, send me a PM, while I'm no expert, I've definitely read up on TONS of tips/tricks and know the process well. I have loaded 1k .40, 1k 9mm and only about 60 .223 (but that will change soon now that I have time and can walk again). I'd love to load more, but I kind of ran out of brass lol.
Yes, I sent in my request to be a co-author, had quite a few comments to make as well on it. That was a typical paper, some of the other ones I've read are 40-60 pages and so in-depth they take days to fully read and understand.
Thank you..
..and cool you signed off on it.
Kinda funny,.....thinking about it ......I eat....enough to survive at least.
But when it comes time to sit down and eat something really yummy?..... and I'm in a hungry mode?.... Look the fuck out, it's ON.
The primary authors offer the chance to be co-authors to the observers who collected the data that enabled them to write the paper, even though we didn't really do anything other than our jobs. But thats what you get with a big collaboration, one person does the work and 10 other people get the credit for doing nothing. With this paper, I think that takes me up to being co-authored on 25 papers in the past 2yrs, and a lot of them are written by huge names in the field of astronomy, so its a pretty big honor to be listed as co-authors with them.

There ya go.
Nice.
Whew, working after not working for nearly 7-8wks is a little exhausting lol
Lucky for me, I only have 9 more nights until 9/24 and then I'm off for another month! :D
Crushed walnut shell is like $8 for 15 lbs at petco.
Howdy Belly.
I'm quickly learning that it's not a good idea to save different caliber shells in the same bag. 9's fit in the 40....223 fits in the 40.....
Gotta keep 'em separated.
Nice on the extra month, BC.
Ah yes, and 40's fit in the 45s. What's worse is when you get the crushed walnut in between the cases, because then they stick together and are a PITA to get apart. But when that happens, I keep the tumbler turned on and just touch the two stuck cases to the side and it rattles the inner case right out.
Shit, I thought you already had the wedding.
My bad.
Haha, nope, 10/11. Only 41 days to go. But once September hits, we're going to start freaking out because then that means the wedding is next month.
The first two loads were strictly 223.
Then I just put mixed stuff in there. I'm learning.
:)
Yea, I am starting to just separate by handgun and rifle and tumble all together. Once I found out that you don't need pliers to separate the stuck cases and can just touch them to the running tumbler and they'll jiggle apart, it keeps my hands cleaner by not sorting before tumbling.
I hope everything for you and your bride, go's smoothly and you two have a great experience with the whole thing.
Thanks, it will, its just the last few (totally minor) details that are stressing my Fiancee out even though I'm doing everything I can to help. We picked up the marriage license the other day and that really got things to sink in. This thursday we run through the entire ceremony with the priest and pick the readings, etc. Its the pre-rehearsal run through lol.
Well, congrats on the whole thing, man.
sunburnyurmanparts? I don't think I want to know what thats about...
I just saw that today, ........don't know who contributed that.
Funny though.
Some of those tags freak me out. [Eek2]
lol.........Howdy, Lobo.
How are you doing, Sir?
Speaking of freaked out. I think the rabbits may be planning some sort of retaliation for cutting and baling their cover. They have been acting kinda strange and bunching together alot.
