Got tired of trying to turn my AR into a decent p-dog shooter, so decided to just buy one. Remington 700 ADL Varmint with a Simmons 6.5-20x50mm scope, BC Blizzard Flip-up covers, and a Blackhawk 9-13" Traverse Track bipod.

Nah, went with .223 since that's what I reload. Easier to share ammo between it and my AR.

Does the beaver tail poke into your armpit by the time you get that whole barrel out of the holster? Or does the gun just make that ringing sound like you are drawing a sword?

The barrel is only 5.3 inches. Doesn't seem that long to me. I guess some people aren't used to having equipment that long.[Coffee]

How much did you pay for all that steel? I'm assuming it is just mild steel and not anything hardened like AR500, right?

Very nice. And the Krebs safety selector is amazing. Makes it so much easier to switch using your trigger hand.
