Because the average parent (generalization) would rather someone else take care of their kid[s] than have to be burdened with another responsibility . Why interact with your kid after school, on weekends when the education system can do it for you.
Really the only reason you dropped $600 per phone for your kid[s]s so they'd be consumed with texting, social media, etc than hold a conversation with you and vice versa.

Too general of a statement. i cannot say entire global market learned something or nothing off of past, but some specific sector or some specific companies most likely learned and moved forward with it.

Hospital try to give me a leg braces.
I aaked how much cash value vs how much insurance is giving them. They were transparent and said 250 cash and 950 billed to insurance.

I know it makes no sense, but I told me that I will buy a same/similar one myself.

I just surfed ebay and I can get one for 60-90 cash.

950 billing is boarder line moral hazard for a leg braces.
