Keep your eye out on used units. I actually bought ours used from a boulderite for $125 in excellent shape and it's the newest edition with longer filter life. I did buy all new filters for it though which are very pricey. We got all 3 filters for $330, normally $400-$500...they're supposed to last 2ish years or so.
