So much for the first day back to work. The return to work form my employer filled out by my doctors is not good enough for them. My employer is going to make me take a new hire / DOT (CDL) physical before they will let me return. At least they are paying for it and got me scheduled.
Word of advice. Get an attorney. Taking a new hire physical, IF the Dr put you on light duty, isn't a safe / healthy thing for you to do. AS well as going against a DR. work restrictions, something the court[s] have already ruled in favor of..Quote:

Because I am required to have a CDL and although the RTW said no restrictions my Dr./health care provider did a CYA and said they are a qualified DOT facility.
I just took a better look at the paperwork I need for the physical where instead of the employment box checked it has DOT/CDL checked.
The office person I was talking to must have used the wrong term while explaining what I needed to do.
The DOT/CDL physical doesn’t bother me because it is a couple of more days they have to pay me disability and my Med. Cert. is going to expire at the beginning of March 2019.
