was out thinning the prairie dog population this morning and these 3 young bucks were very curious about me. I was laying shooting prone and they didn't care about the shots going off, just kept getting closer and closer.

Not a great picture. When I zoomed in, he flew away as I was trying to focus. I see one of these cardinals about every day. I've also been seeing whatever equivalent sized blue bird as well, some kind of jay I assume. The colors are striking compared to the brown I'm used to. I always notice the difference in bird song whenever I travel.

Also I like seeing the turkey vultures and possums and stuff. Almost hit a white tail at 5:30 am on my way in.
Probably a blue jay you're seeing. I can't stand possums. Greasy, nasty lookin' things. Turkey vultures are cool. Big suckers. Good hoppers getting out of the way of traffic when eating roadkill.
I want to catch a possum so bad.
Not good for much.
I just want to see if you can really hold one like people do in YouTube videos.
