I need help from the post whore thread. I have a bunch of steel gas cans that I want to fill while the gas is cheap, however, most of them weep around the bottom seam. Not enough that it leaks off the shelf and onto the floor, but enough that if I fill them my garage smells like gas fumes. I know there is a product that you can pour into a tank to fill cracks. I used it on a motorcycle tank when I was a kid. I know probably half the people that post in here know what I should use. I don't something that gets rock hard if I can avoid it though. Any tips?
Something like this?

I’d be afraid of not prepping it properly or something, and probably just buy new tanks.
Since I mostly retired & to occupy a few hours, I even briefly entertained delivering newspapers as a sub (Im up so might as well get paid) but those ***munches kept throwing their trash on my lawn & when I'd ask them (& often) to please stop, they'd argue the point by telling me it's free. Id reply that trash often is & I didn't want theirs. No luck.
So, I waited around & returned a bag full of their papers to the actual driver who had been delivering them... told him next time I gave them back they'd be on fire. Guess what? No more free trash on my lawn.
Giggle snort.
So substitute newspaper girl wasn't going to be my token gig after all.
Yeah basically. I've got six Jerry cans and brand new ones cost something like $50 a piece. Even if I have to buy all the components of that sealing kit, it'd probably still be cheaper than buying new cans. Seems like a quick clean and then the sealant would work since I'm not having any rust issues.
It is interesting that the link you posted advertises that it's both rock hard, but flexible at the same time. I'm only slightly concerned as I have an acquaintance who tried to seal a gas tank on an off-road rig. Everything was fine until he hit the tank a couple of times on some rocks. The sealer chipped off and then clogged his fuel filter with the debris. He went online to research and found a few accounts from others having the same issues.
I'm not too worried about that happening though. I appreciate the link. If anyone else has experience and wants to suggest a different product, or endorse that one, I'm all ears.
Guess that's all I've got... good night again folks.
Can you trade penny stocks on the international stock markets? Assuming they'd be open in the middle of the night when you're up.
Good morning folks
