They went outside Denver city/county because the Denver "Sheriff" was not among those that opposed the law and said it couldn't be enforced.
That's about the only smart thing they thought of.

So, who's going to call Rhonda Fields and demand that she do something?
Colo Spr news channel 11, KKTV, just ran this story - using all of the Denver reporting & footage. Of course, the CS anchor had plenty of her own comments to add in. Because of these comments I broke my Facebook silence and posted the following to Dianne Derby's (the anchor) FB public page:
She's already replied with:Quote:
PLEASE, PLEASE stop saying firearm magazines holding more than 15 rounds are outlawed. That statement is NOT VALID! Since July 1, 2013 it has been illegal in Colorado to BUY, SELL, OR TRANSFER these magazines. This is a far cry from making these magazines illegal if they are already in constant possession of a citizen. Saying they are illegal or banned means than no one can legally own these devices. There are literally millions of firearm magazines with a capacity greater than 15 rounds legally owned by citizens in this state. Additionally, particularly for AR-15's and AK's, 30 round magazines are NOT "high capacity" magazines. The proper term for these magazines is "standard capacity". Calling them anything else is disingenuous and inaccurate.
Yeah, like they care. At least I feel better for saying my piece.Quote:
Thomas thanks for writing. I'll pass your comment on to producers now.
Yup,the art of misinformation at it's best.
The more they say it's illegal the more they think people will believe it and follow even worse laws..
Just because someone sits at a desk and reads words on a teleprompter doesn't mean they are smart. The folks who deliver our news can be real idiots.
"Journalists" have such a bad rap in my opinion anymore, I trust a democrat congressman more.
People across the country are seeing this "news" peice. I have a family member in MO (by marrage) that shared a story on Facebook about how shocking it was that people in Colorado aren't following the "spirt of the law". That morally we should be following the law despite the holes. Unbelievable.
