As Kid points out and I was a member too............. they most definately did close the private range there, but they are replacing it with a public one.
Doesn't help and still frustrating...........but the Club was clear to members that was what they were doing.........

What good is burying your gun? When the overlords come a knockin', you won't have time to find 6 C cell batteries for your Radio Shack metal detector, dig it up and make it ready to fire.

Hell, so many gun owning right wingers lost their shit when a bunch of unarmed protesters took allegedly uninvited selfies at the Capitol. They said "We don't do that, we're the party of the LAW AND ORDER".

Nobody will use them, ever. If they do, we'll loudly speak out against them.
