too bad mine would say Head Story, not sure I want a dollar sign after that.
We bought a 2000 528i for our grandson last year, and it's rapidly turning into a steaming pile. I'll never own another BMW.
HoneyBadger - write down the name Pelican Parts, you're gonna need them, and they're very good to deal with. I have no complaints about Pelican.
Radiator, expansion tank, hoses, thermostat housing, water pump, to be 100% safe. For the e36, kits run $5-700 and only takes a few hours. Pay attention to the temp needle. BMWs are designed to have the needle stay in the middle for a range of temperatures. You won't see it move from dead center until after temps are exceeding 230 degrees or so. If you wait too long to shut it down while over heating, you risk damaging the head/head gasket. The m/s series engines are sensitive to over heating so if that needle moves, shut it down.
Then you need one of these.
