There is SOME truth behind this. BMW's are no different then any other vehicle make. They leak, they have problems, and they need repairs. The difference comes down to the parts are more expensive, there are more labor hours to fix things and depending on who you go to, the hourly labor rate is more expensive to work on these cars. A lot of shops will say they can work on BMW's but they are a special kind of breed and require more of a specialized shop. I worked at BMW/MINI for a few years and I learned quite at bit about these cars. They are reliable, very luxurious but as stated earlier, they are expensive to maintain. If we you want the best fuel mileage, get some wheels like Kazoo!Quote:

The grandson's steaming turd is in the shop right now for overheating and a head gasket, thank God we bought a service contract with it. The assurance co. is just going to replace the engine rather than risk fixing the boat anchor that's in it.Quote:
