I think its a little more complicated than that.

When it comes to shooting guys tend to (and no, not all guys):
1. Have bad habits from doing it before
2. Already know because just like anything else that a "real man" should know - they know
3. Try to run before they can walk - skip the basics and go straight to what they want to do

I can say that of the people I teach, the females tend to make more progress.

I was closer to my GF's parents, and my neighbors in Buie?. Jerry and Claire than I am with either of my parents. It's hard to walk in the door there, or even have a phone call with them. I envy functional "families"... as seriously weird as that is to say.

Sorry to hear this. But sometimes with family it sadly takes a crisis to pull things together. Just know it is never too late to try again. No family that I am aware of is "fully functional" everyone has their problems.
