When they announced they were going to shut down the office and we were all going to work from home, my employer advised we could grab whatever we needed from the building for our home office. I decided my home office needed a sit-stand reloading bench, so I came with tools and a handtruck. (Most folks took monitors and chairs. I disassembled my desk, the light fixtures, and all the wall cabinets.)

I have three presses, and I haven't finalized where they are going to go yet, but I knew I didn't want them permanently mounted to the bench. The basement is shared family space, and I (my wife) wanted to be able to put them away when we have guests or small children roaming free. Decided I'd give the Inline Fabrication quick mount system a try. Bought two bench plates, a riser mount, and three of the quick mount base plates.

Routed out the pocket fairly straight and flush.

This worked really well for the Co-Ax, but I found I had to relieve parts of the rubber moulding on the bench to clear the Square Deal B. Mildly miffed about that.

I reinforced the underside of the bench with a 3/4" piece of baltic birch cut a little wider than the baseplate itself. Swapped out the wingnuts for the Quick Mount with a pair of extended camera stud bolts that work well with the recessed quick mount screws.

Anyways, the presses mount quick and are very firm on the bench. I will be curious to see how well the system works with my big Dillon with the case feeder, but I still need to finalize where I will mount the other baseplate.
Overall, a big improvement to the bench.

I filled in the holes in my .45-70 MTM box. (Holes in the MTM box is meant as a colloquial expression for places where loaded ammunition should be, not where I used the box for target practice)
I'm finally confident in the load for my Rem 700 in 300 Win Mag, so I spent some time and filled up that MTM box too.
I broke down a dozen or so reloaded .450 Bushmaster cartridges that didn't work out and prepped enough brass to make up some more cartridges so I can keep zeroing in on a new accuracy load.
I finally got a big single stage press. This will sure help with resizing the larger rifle cases, which was pushing the limits of the turret press.https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/202...ca81fead58.jpg

Finally finished ultrasonic cleaning my 22 can.
First time took a little experimenting. Ended up adding Dawn to the Slip2000 (not impressed) and had to run probably 3 hours total (30 minute max cycles) with some scraping and scrubbing in between. Goal was to get it to near factory and it's probably 95%.
Can was not lead fouled much at all, mostly just carbon. It's only seen Gemtech subs.
Going to try Purple Power next time.
I also have multiples presses and went with the Inline system. I love it. They are good peeps too.
I built this stand to give my 550 a safe place to sit while using my single stage.
That is pretty slick, Mercula. May have to steal that idea!
Thanks. The “storage dock” is from Inline. Shelf brackets are from HD. And the paint match from HD also. They just scanned one of my conversion kit boxes. The ugly plywood I found by the dumpster lol.
Oh wow that's wood? Looks great.
Thanks guys. I’m sure a real good looking one could be made out of walnut or something. I figured the cheap painted route would have enough form for my function.
1,100 .44's lasted me quite a while, but all good things come to an end. Had to heat up the pot and cast some more.... now to load them and shove them back into the earth from whence they came.
Had a mini-split installed in the out building, i use for reloading.
Yo Steve, I think I've found an explanation for why you're such a nut. Here's a list of symptoms of lead poisoning. I think you've been breathing too many fumes.
Delay in development
Learning difficulties
Irritability
Hearing Loss
Constipation
Seizures
Increased blood pressure
Muscle and joint pain
Memory and concentration difficulties
Mood disorders
Reduced sperm count
Explains a lot...
Just scored a 4lb Power Pistol jug at powder valley today...
Loaded up some shotshells. Hope to hit sporting clays before the seasons start, but I am running out of weekends.

Not today, but I spent some time these past couple weeks getting my Autodrive set up on the 1050 while I wait for my 1100 to show up.
This is processing 223 brass on the 3,000 per hour setting which ends up being about 1,900 cases per hour after added in dwell time at the top/bottom and slower case advance.
I wont be loading ammo on it, just processing 223, 300, 308, 9x19 and 38/357.
I ordered it in Jan and it showed up mid July. After a 3 week quoted wait...

Loaded 300rds of full power h110 357mag rounds today and started preping 100 peices of 308 brass.
I put away the 4lb bottle of N340 I scored at Scheels Colorado Springs yesterday and am anxiously awaiting my Powder Valley order of 3N38 to show up. I then get to load up some 9mm major loads for a new Parrot. I also prepped a couple hundred rounds of 6.5x47 and 6.5 Grendel brass.
Begun the task of determining what to sell and what to keep.
Next on episode 1 of Shooting hoarders…
I finally got a nice soft recoiling load in 41 Special. 4.0 gns of TrailBoss under a 215 gn coated Gallant bullet. I wanted to use Universal Clays, but it didnt work out as well as I would have liked.
Finding something comfortable to shoot that also shoots point of aim/point of impact for a mellow load was a bit of a challenge as the S&W model 58 is a fixed sight revolver. Both front and rear are fixed.
Starline shipped my brass right after I ordered even though it wasnt listed as in stock.
I spent a few minutes chamfering and deburring 500 virgin cases. It isnt a "have to" deal, more of a cant hurt might help thing. I have been doing it for 41 Mag and 454 since forever. And it is a one time bad deal so why not.
Using 41 Special brass helps me keep mild ammo separate and is easy to identify compared to 41 mag ammo. I most likely will never shoot 41 Magnum level ammo in this thing anyway.
The last thing I want to do is touch off some spicy ammo loaded for my Freedom Arms model 83 in a Smith revo that is older than Tim K.
Depending on how much I end up liking this thing, I might even have it cut for moon clips like one of my 657s.
Loaded up some 7mm-08, Highpower Silhouette Ram Loads to test out since my usual powder hasn’t been available for a while. Tomorrow morning I’ll do a ladder test of 168gr SMK’s with a handful of IMR 4831 charges. Super slow powder for the caliber, but these are heavy bullets for the same… should wind up working well based on what I’ve read and calculated, but never know til you give it a whirl.[Beer]
I am pleasantly surprised at the higher charged ones in my test today… 44gr of imr 4831 behind a 168gr SMK is a heavy charge but slow burner, so still quite soft shooting for an advantage in silhouette….it did hit 2.5 moa right and 3 moa low versus my ordinary zero, but groups well enough for offhand shooting! I’ll see how it does for me on Rams through 2022 and keep building my reloading toolbox.
Boxing up 500 rds of 38 spl. When i heard, what sounded like water running. OOPS leaking water line. 1/4 water across the floor, Under 4 - 3/4" stall mats. The up side is, i was in the reloading room. Who knows how much long range damage it might have done, moisture wise, to everything in there, overnight.
The primer seater punch on my SDB snapped after 15 years of service, so I ended up priming 300 rounds with my Coax. Which wasn't optimal, but wasn't as bad as I thought it would be, once I got into a good pattern.

With the primer assembly removed, loading the primed cases went very smoothly and quicker than anticipated on the SDB. Made enough ammo on demand to take to the range with me on Friday. 150 rounds of 10mm, 150 rounds of .45.

I set up a little reloading station adjacent to my work desk at home a little while back. It's worked out well in terms of being a lot warmer than the garage and giving me something to do when off camera during conference calls. I took inspiration from Mercula and built a tiny storage bench a month or two back to minimize clutter in this area. A work in progress; I plan to hang a cork board and figure out some tool storage after the Christmas break. But it is nice to have it all cleaned and contained.
