So, Lobo. What's your time table for leaving CO?
There has been 3 squirrels in as many days in the maple tree.
Yeah, I started shooting while I was in high school with a basic single shot .22 rifle (Remington 514) that my grandfather could no longer use. My friends had tube fed semi-autos (Glenfields & Marlins).
We'd setup a bunch of plinking targets and my friends would blast away while I insert a shell, close the bolt, aim, fire, open/extract with the bolt, repeat. I hand-sewed a pouch together with heavyweight camo cloth, olive green nylon edging, a velcro top flap, with a belt loop on the back. The nylon edging held the flap open once the velcro was separated. Since the pouch had a wedge shape when open, the 22 cartridges had a tendency to sit bullet down. I could quickly grab a round by the rim without looking and stuff it in the chamber. Semi-autos can lead to a tendency of not making the shot count, so my friends would waste a number of shots and then they'd run out and scramble to reload. In the meantime, I'm destroying the rest of the targets one shot after the other. By the time they're ready to go again, the cans/bottles/golf balls are all destroyed and it's time to setup new targets. [Coffee]
