Here's some food for thought: The average American Senator's net worth hovers between $10M and $14M every year (http://moneynation.com/bernie-sanders-net-worth/) but Sanders' net worth is consistently between $105k and $510k.
Why is everyone so excited to take economic planning advice from someone who has been working for 44 years continuously and has very little wealth to show for it, even though he was making a considerable amount of money?
I understand that sentiment and support it 100%. But this guy thinks he is his own economic adviser, when in reality, he's been squandering his own money for decades and is probably going to continue to live at the tax payers' expense for the remainder of his existence. [Puke]
I suppose it could be said that achieving any level of net worth isn't really necessary when you're OK with relying on the government for everything you have and everything you want for all eternity.
I often dream of how easy life would be if I didn't want to achieve anything or have anything beyond a beige 4-door Ford Taurus.
