I use them on the bed all summer for a cover if it cools down
They are great for a lot of things, except as an actual liner for a poncho. Must have for camping since it rolls up nicely.
Probably not the cheapest ($24.99), they have woodland as well. I usually buy my wool shirts from these guys, they haven't steered me wrong yet:

The Kifaru woobie is $150, but worth every goddamn penny. Packs light, stuffs down well, and is very, very warm. Definitely warmer than a normal woobie.
Always just called them liners. Now that said they were always nice to have. In the Medical Corps we used them with the old casualty blankets. I will say that the swiss poncho (listed as an add-on) is one big/heavy SOB compared to the old US poncho but your not going to get wet in it and for $9 I have a couple. [Flower]
