Sar 2's are actually the least common of the sar series, it is a front sight block and muzzle device away from being a semi auto aims-74 (the Romanian ak74 basically) it does have a specific front sight block with 22mm threads instead of 24mm like the russian/german/bulgy 74. They were imported with front sight blocks that had the threaded section cut off. Up until a year or two ago kvar sold the correct Romanian 74 front sight with threads but are now sold out, they are hard to find but the barrel can be threaded 1/2-28. In my opinion the sar series is much better than the wasr's they seem to have better fit and finish and they have magwell dimples on the receiver unlike the wasr-2. If you get it and are unhappy with it I would gladly entertain trading for it. Correct wood for a sar2 is the orangish blond hard wood with a palm swell LHG correct for a 74 is a push button folder, light honey colored donky dong and a Bakelite upper or if you can find it there was the experimental Bakelite lower handgaurd but they are rare as hens teeth and expensive. Also romanian steel 30 round mags are fairly rare and pricey but tantal mags are very similar, also they accept all ak74 mags that I know of.
