Holy moley! I guess you don't need me to point out that it seems like you're having a rough year, but I am Master of the Obvious.
Hope you're able to put this past you soon! Prayers and positive thoughts are headed your way. Love ya' man!

Yup . . . have gone through it twice. The pain is incredible and I like to think I have a pretty high tolerance. After my second, I went to see my dad's urologist and figured out what was causing them, so have been fortunate enough to avoid a relapse thus far. I would imagine I'll get another somewhere down the road, but trying to keep them at bay.
Is this your first? About all you can do is try to stay hydrated at this point and manage the pain as best as you can. Did they send you home with pain meds? Flomax can help in opening up the plumbing to pass the stone if that's an option.
EDIT: This may or may not help . . . can't really hurt. The most common stones, by far, are calcium oxalate. You can try drinking fluids that are high in citrate and that might help to break up the stone a little. Best source is lemon juice--like straight lemon juice. Drink a couple cups of it and chase with lots of water. Other option is lemonade, even the sugar free kind. I drink the lemonade regularly and do the straight lemon juice every few weeks to try and keep the stones from forming.

Gave birth to one about 12 years ago, spent the evening in the ER, definitely a no fun event. Started with Vicodin, that did not touch the pain, Percocet finally helped. Never did catch it in the strainer, but have been fortunate to have avoided any since then. If it is of a certain type and large enough, they may have to sonically try to break it into smaller pieces. Good luck and hope it passes soon.

Rappaflo or FlowMax to keep the prostate open, percocet every few hours, because once the pain starts, you cannot catch up to it.
Calcium Oxalate as they say above ^ - mine I think turned out to be caused by too much vitamin C, nuts, and other various food items I was using to keep healthy.

also don't mess with ultra sounds, just get the dang CT scan and find that sucker. What a waste of time that was for me. (and money)

The lemonaid helps. Also vineagar....couple large spoonfuls each day...apple cyder or rice type.

About once a year.
I buy lemon juice at Costco...
The instructions above really help.

I've had and passed a couple of them. My only advice is to drink tons of water. The more fluids you pass through the plumbing the better the chances of flushing out the little rocks.

If it were me I'd get some organic lemons. Real lemons are better than the concentrated crap. I'd cut one in half and squeeze both halves into 12 oz of lukewarm water and drink. I would do that first thing in the AM and once in the late afternoon. I would also avoid foods with sugar and I would drink plenty of water throughout the day.
Might taste kind of acidic if you're not used to it.
