What's going with eggs? For 2 weeks now, there have been zero eggs at the Walmart next to me, but the king soopers across the street has them.
Did a Walmart supplier get hit with a bird flu, or is there something else going on?

I had heard earlier this year there was going to be an egg shortage. Never saw it here. The prices have gone WAY up...but all the stores still have them.
Mine has been out of heavy cream for 2 weeks.
New egg rules go into affect soon too. Cage free requirements etc.
Watch a Netflix series called rotten! Very good information about all this stuff.
Costco and sams up this way have been out the last few times whe went. We had to go to wallys to get them
Bird flu. The US is killing millions of birds to prevent further outbreaks. About 50 million birds in 46 states have died or been culled so far this year in the US. This is now the largest outbreak ever in the US.
The time of abundance is over it seems. We're all used to the stores having what we want every time, but not anymore. It's been a VERY long time since I've come home with everything I wanted from a single grocery trip. There is always some staple item out of stock these days.
I've also noticed the quality of food seems to be stretching, particularly in produce. More blemished items are showing up on shelves, best by dates seem to be extended. Not entirely bad things, but I think an indication of how the supply chain is still struggling.
Though prone to shortages as well, Natural Grocers/Vitamin Cottage has excellent egg prices if you sign up with their app/site.
O2
Way past time to acquire some chickens.
Stores around me are all stocked up.. Walmart itself probably just has an issue.
