Rattle Snakes

Does anyone here hunt snakes?I just bought 52 acres and wanted to see if someone would be intrested.TY.Would prefer a 22 over a 12 guge, but don't really care.When is the season for hunting them in CO?
I'll put my number on here when it gets closer to season,if you find any bull snakes where you live bring them on down

I've never hunted rattle snakes, but I've got a shotgun. I'd love to walk around and shoot some snakes. Did you want their bodies as intact as possible so that you can tan the leather?

a real shotgun is overkill.. I use a .22 loaded with shotshell.. they're not that dangerous..

any handgun with shotshell ammo is plenty to take down rattlers..

you've also got to ask what the rattlers are eating, and address that, too... that's how I handled my rattler problem here in Penrose

I am in to hunt rattlesnakes, I typically hunt them out in kit carson, and damn are they good eating. I grew up in SC chasing copper heads, mocassins, and eastern diamond backs my whole life. The first year my father n law invited me to go dove hunting out at kit carson, the all the ole timer guys told me if I saw any rattle snakes get'em, and we'll eat them that night, Well it was about 100 degrees out, and with no ice I didn't want the meat to spoil during the corse of the day so good ol me from the south, rounded up 6 of them ranging from 18" -36" and brought them all back alive. Man those guys shit a brick when I dumped a 5 gallon bucket full of live rattlers, and with them being that warm, they acteed like they had just drank red bull. Man I laughed my ass off, I thought cowboys were suppose to be tough, they danced like a bunch of damn girls, when they got turned loose. I am now known as "the dumbass hillbilly from south cakilaki"
